PHOTOS BY Getty Images While Mike Guentzel was spending more than 21 seasons coaching at his alma mater, the University of Minnesota, his son Jake was embarking on his own journey toward the NHL. Now, as his son prepares to enter his fourth season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, dad, who is now an pro scout with the Arizona Coyotes, shares his input on a player he knows very well. H e was a good player right from the g et-g o. He was always kind of advanced for his age and you could just see his hockey sense and his a b i l i t y t o m a k e p l a y s a n d i m p a c t t h e g a m e e v e n a s a younger, smaller player—he was and still is really small. But he was and continues to be driven and motivate and will do everything he can to be a good player.
