When you first hear this you're probably wondering if a hockey rink even has a smell. The answer is yes. I have loved playing hockey since I was 4 and every time I walk into the rink I am satisfied by the amazing smell. The smell of the cold ice and the water on top of it combine to make an amazing smell. Water has many chemicals and when it freezes it forces them out into the air, which get into your nose. It smells a little bit like a car garage. I have been in a hockey rink hundreds of times and the smell reminds me of having fun and my childhood when I was a little kid. It also reminds me of hanging out with friends and just doing my favorite thing. Overall the hockey rink is my second home and I would hang out there all day if I could.
